I purchased my mother plant in as a "Japanese Tri Color" but I, personally, believe this to just be a marketing gimmick. I've grown plenty of all the different variegated Adansonii over the years and have seen no notable difference between the Albo, Tri Color and Japanese Tri Color variants. The main claim is that the Tri Color display

Variegated Monstera Adansonii (sometimes also referred to as Albo Adansonii, Tri-Color or Japanese Tri-Color.) 

I purchased my mother-plant in as a "Japanese Tri-Color" but I, personally, believe this to just be a marketing gimmick. I've grown plenty of all the different variegated Adansonii over the years and have seen no notable difference between the Albo, Tri-Color and Japanese Tri-Color variants.

The main claim is that the Tri-Color display different shades of green in addition to the Albo, but this is a random mutation that can occur in all Albo Adansonii and is in no way unique to these specific plants. 

I'm not sure the price really differs much anymore,  so it's probably not really here nor there, but I did want to make a note for clarity.
